You’ve got fifty bookings living in a notes board that used to work fine. Team names are typed into the Notes column because there’s nowhere else for them to go. A three-day wedding takes up four separate date columns. Somewhere in there is a line that just says “EDITOR NOT PAID YET,” because that’s the only place left to put it.

Profit per booking

One number you can actually trust.

Every booking shows what the client paid, what's still owing, what your team and editor cost, and what's left over. No formula to double-check, no separate spreadsheet tab for it. Add a payment or a cost and the profit updates on the spot — for that booking, the month and the year.

  • Team $860 · editor $400 · profit $1,940 · margin 46%

Team and days

Know who's shooting and what they're owed.

Add the days for a multi-day wedding, then pick who's shooting each one from your team list instead of typing a name into a notes field. Every assignment carries its own hours and pay, so a second shooter on the ceremony and the Reception shows up twice, correctly, and gets marked paid with one tap.

Editing status

Always know where an edit sits.

Every booking gets a photo track and a video track, each with its own stage: not started, with the editor, back for review, delivered. Assign an editor, set a due date, and overdue edits show up on the dashboard automatically — instead of as a line in your notes that says EDITOR NOT PAID YET.

Talk to the client. Let the booking write itself.

Paste the meeting transcript, your notes or the signed contract. Shootlog reads it and drafts the client, the days, the venue and the money for you to check. Anything it couldn't find becomes a question you can answer or skip, and nothing is saved until you press Create. Max AI includes 50 runs a month; Pro and Max get three to try it.

Board, table or calendar

See the same bookings as a board, a sortable table or a calendar.

Phone and laptop, equally

Add a payment from your phone at the venue, check the numbers on your laptop at home. Add it to your home screen and it opens like an app, on iPhone and Android.

Bring your spreadsheet in

Import a CSV export from your old board or spreadsheet with a column mapper, no retyping every booking by hand.

Suggestions, not silent changes

Shootlog asks "mark as shot?" or "mark as delivered?" — you decide, it never changes status on its own.

Undo for 30 days

Delete a booking, a client or a team member by mistake and bring it back within 30 days.

Create from notes

Paste a meeting transcript, your notes or a signed contract. Shootlog drafts the client, the days and the money for you to check, and asks about anything it couldn't find. Max AI.

A few things it skips, on purpose.

  • No contracts or e-signatures. Use whatever you already sign with.
  • No invoicing. What's paid and owed lives here; the invoice itself comes from wherever you already send it.
  • No client galleries. Deliver photos the way you already do.
  • No client logins. Shootlog is for you and your team, not your clients.

Keep using your favourite contract, invoicing and gallery tools alongside it.

FAQ

Is there an app for my phone?

Shootlog installs from your phone's browser and opens full-screen like an app, with its own icon. On iPhone, open app.shootlog.ca in Safari, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen. On Android, open it in Chrome and choose Install app. Everything stays in sync with your laptop.

Is my data private?

Yes. Your bookings, clients and numbers are walled off from every other account at the database level, and nothing in Shootlog is ever public.

Can my second shooter log in?

Not yet. Today you add team members as names on a list and assign them to jobs. Individual logins, so each person sees only their own jobs and pay, are next on the list for Max, with no date promised.

What counts as an active booking on Free?

Confirmed or shot, but not yet delivered. Inquiries and quotes don't count, and neither do delivered, lost or cancelled bookings.

Can I switch plans?

Yes, any time, from Settings. Upgrades apply straight away, and you keep your bookings, team and history on any plan.

What happens if I downgrade?

Nothing is deleted. If you're over the new plan's limits, existing bookings and team stay visible and editable — you just can't add new ones until you're under the cap again.

Does it do tax?

No. Shootlog shows your profit and, on Pro, a cash view of money in and out by month. It doesn't calculate or file tax for you.

Can I import from a spreadsheet or my old board?

Yes. Upload a CSV, map your columns to Shootlog's fields, and preview what will import before anything is saved. There's a ready-made mapping for an old board export.

What currency is it billed in?

Your choice of USD or CAD, picked on the pricing page. Inside the app, each workspace tracks bookings in its own currency.

Does the AI write anything on its own?

No. It drafts, you check. Nothing is saved until you press Create, and every run shows you exactly what it found and asks about what it couldn't.

Where do my notes go?

To Anthropic, the company behind Claude, to be read once. They aren't used to train anything and we don't keep the text after the draft is made.
